A winding path...am deeply in LOVE!

These paths are amazingly created...I love them all. It reminds me of life, all the twists and turns of adventure and beauty. So much to pause and enjoy along the way.

Labaikkallah hummalabaik...

Musim haji datang lagi.....how I wish I could be one of them. Ya Allah...panjangkan umur kami, sihatkan lah tubuh badan kami dan murah kan rezeki kami...jadikan kami tetamu haji Mu secepat yang mungkin. Keindahan beribadat di tanah suci Mekah &  Madinah tidak dapat dibayangkan dengan kata-kata, terlalu indah!

Kepada semua bakal-bakal haji...selamat menunaikan ibadat haji dan moga mendapat haji yang mabrur.

D.I.Y

This is what I did last weekend, repainted my old (almost 10 years old) small chest drawer from a normal teak wood color into something with an antique look....yes, I appreciate antiques! Am now aiming to paint my other teak wood furnitures into this 'eggshell' color...this will be my weekend project from now on.

1. This is its original look

2. After applying white Nippon undercoat

3. After applying eggshell Nippon soft matte finish....

4. The FINAL product....I used sand paper to wipe off (certain parts only) paint layers back to its original teak color to create antique look..

5. This is where 'she' belongs....am loving it!

Sharing my thoughts

I am truly in love with the design of these laundry room and kitchen...how I wish I would be able to re-design mine to look exactly like these. Berangan lah ni....tapi cantik kan?

I am still around...

Alhamdulillah...after almost a year, here I am again in the blogsphere. So many things happened for the past several months...as life is like a wheel, definitely there are up and down. Believe it or not, another year is coming to an end and the new year is just around the corner....time flies so fast, sometimes things changed without me realizing it. Am I too slow or it is the age? At times...I do feel like stopping the ticking clock, thus I could take a long deep breath..but that sounds impossible...isn't it?

I will come back with more updates really soon......and hopefully this time with more meaningful stories to share.

December 2008

Every year end seems to be the busiest time for me...patutnya this is the time to take leave and be on a holiday! Tapi apa nak buat....masa ni lah kena buat budget, involve in convocation ceremony, opening of the new office ceremony, different type of reports for Board/Management meetings, year end analysis..etc etc etc. Saturday is now a working day for me....uwwwaaaaa. Well...I am not complaining..this is how I earn a living...alhamdulillah!

Let's have some fun here .... ohh yes, I have bought 2 tickets for next year trip, one will be in Feb and the other one in March. ooo laaalaaa...am eagerly looking forward for a short break.

Just for my notes:

- Athirah and Amalia got their ears pierced last week

- Athirah once again received an award for her good academic achievement in school...alhamdulillah!

- Athirah's "khatam quran" ceremony will be next week

- Hubby and Athirah's birthdays will be in January next year....hadiah apa nak beli ye?

- ....will be going back to KB this Saturday for 'Hari Raya Haji'....harap2 tak banjir lah!

- ....will be celebrating christmas at a beach..

Feeling feminine....

I woke up one Saturday morning with a sudden urged to 'rejuvenate' our little home....an idea emerged after attending an open house at one of the relatives whom just moved into a new bungalow. They decorated the 3 storey bungalow with American classic style furniture ....wah wah...am deeply in love with the interior...pulaknya ada swimming pool kat luar...not even in my dream!

Well...back to my story about our home, we moved in to this house sometimes in 2006...almost 4 years back! ....and since then, all the furniture and decorative items have not been changed. No no...I did not intend to change the furniture, not just yet...not even the curtains...kena jimat cermat (a REMINDER for myself), but I ended up buying new cushion covers and artificial flowers.

....and for the first time ever...I became the florist of the day...so just ignore whatever cacat-cela yang you all realized..heheee
